September 30, 200917 yr Put this code to your page, change to extension to ".php" <? echo "Hello"; ?> wow you have a dynamic page, congrats. Good luck!
September 30, 200917 yr Seems you are aiming a little out of your depth Saeed... but PHP will help you achieve what you're looking for. <?php $doh = "saeed"; if($doh == "saeed") { echo "Doh!"; } ?> BenTheDesigner
September 30, 200917 yr Author hello thanks all of u but i wanna rebuild some things like a weblog management console! i wanna have a admin page, where can input the content and then this content comes to the main page! thanks alot
September 30, 200917 yr Learn (X)HTML, CSS, PHP (and MySQL). That should get you started, Saeed. BenTheDesigner
September 30, 200917 yr no,i want to have my own CMS,i want to learn how can i design these With all due respect, your first post shows you clearly have very little grasp on the time, effort and work involved in creating a CMS or the skill that it takes. You almost sum it up as if it's something you can chuck up in half an hour. I think unless you're prepared to realise the work that this is going to take you, you're better off with a packaged solution. With that said, I agree with Ben. Start with HTML and CSS. Once you've got that down, you want to learn PHP and basic MySQL syntax. You'll need to think about security a lot, too.
October 2, 200917 yr Learn the basics, clean css based pages that display in more than just the browser and monitor you have. I found some great tutorials on adobe.com for dreamweaver and also a couple of books to help me along the css route. As my web design knowledge is constantly increasing i'm avoiding publishing any site for public consumption til I'm alot nearer to what I want to achieve. When designing punctuation and spelling is not something you can get 'almost right', code doesn't deal well with spelling mistakes so make sure you're up to scratch with that. Personally, I think your goals are pretty wild for a first site but go on, prove me wrong...
October 2, 200917 yr Author thanks to all but i wanna know the structure of these!i wanna know the algorightm that how can i link one note to the database or update the site?
October 3, 200917 yr Saeed - do as the other guys said, do some reading and learning. Then decide if you are in a position to write it yourself. Even if you decide you can, take a look at some open source code first to give yourself an idea of what's involved. For your news items you will need to look at sending your input to a database, then asking the display page to call it up again. But you can't just say you want 'a dynamic news site', it doesn't work like that. The variables are far too many to list but for example... Will you be writing your input in plain text/code or do you want an on-page HTML editor? And how will the database record that input correctly (inc any code, special characters, etc)? Will there be restricted access to the input page - do you need to be a registered member or an admin? Are you going to call a limited snippet to the front page which can then call up a new page to view in full? Will the front page display only latest item? Do you want to restrict entries to a certain length? Do you want to display them in a particular order? Do you want them to automatically archive? ... You can sit and list all sorts of scenarios which might get progressively more complicated. You need to figure out all the details of exactly what you want it to do and then learn how to implement them.

But you can't just say you want 'a dynamic news site', it doesn't work like that. The variables are far too many to list but for example... hi there thanks for your answering:) i see...you right i must at first follow some of these open source codes...but i want to know some very simple things like that one u said! how can i send an input field to a database and then display that on the external page as the php directions? and how can i have an archive of that for example i wanna update my web page daily with only this field!so how can i have an daily archive on the external and the end page? lets teach me now these steps!i think these are very very simple to you:D then after learning this step, i will think about what i need and ask again thanks to all
October 4, 200917 yr how can i send an input field to a database and then display that on the external page as the php directions? and how can i have an archive of that for example i wanna update my web page daily with only this field!so how can i have an daily archive on the external and the end page? lets teach me now these steps!i think these are very very simple to you:D That's what you need to go and learn. You will need to write it according to exactly how you want the end result to happen. It might sound like it's easy to do, but it isn't just a case of copy/paste, one-code-fits-all-situations, you need to understand what you are trying to achieve and then find out how to do it.And before you think about writing your code you have to have set up a database to use so you know what you are writing to and to test your code as you go. As I said, go and look at how it's done somewhere else that gives the end result you want.
October 4, 200917 yr You say it as though it can all be explained in a couple of paragraphs on a forum. If you are new to webdesign and haven't even a server side language under your belt, creating a custom CMS is going to be nothing short of fairly impossible! It's not just languages you need to learn, they are simply the tools. You need knowledge of design concepts in many areas which will take years to aquire. Start off with a XHTML website with a few PHP scripts and a small database powering it. Then go for a CMS.. Goodluck
