how can i get my background image to appear without repeating its self?

ive tested my site ofline and it looks fine but once i upload it to my server it repeats its self

css background images default to repeat, just add background-repeat:no-repeat; to your css class

i tried that but think i must be writing it wrong as it didnt work

Can you paste in the CSS code you're using? If it works offline but not online, are you sure your CSS file is being uploaded correctly?

sounds obvious but make sure your css is linked in your html file correctly and that its been uploaded
