September 29, 200917 yr Hi, I've been using a contact form built in flash so uses actionscript and php. It's worked perfectly for a couple of years and looks great. Now, I'm working on a site which is hosted with another company who, although php is enabled on their server, my usual php doesn't work!!?? so I'm having to change to a new one. But I'm so confused. One of the problems is that there seems to be a million ways to achieve the same result. I've followed several tutorials and published a few attempts but nothing works. If anyone can look at the attached files and help me identify where I'm going wrong I'd be so grateful. I've styled the form with css which I'm happy with. I think the problem is in the php file Also, what's the best book/resource for learning php - even just at this basic level in order to understand fully what's required when building a contact/feedback form. Thanks, Jo

September 29, 200917 yr You say it doesn't work - what's it doing/not doing? I've had a look at the form and it's very basic - no validation/sanitisation of data and no protection from spam. I am biased (of course) but I do recommend my own form: http://www.jemjabella.co.uk/scripts/free-php-mail-form In terms of learning PHP, I started with PHP 5 for Dummies. Although it's older now, it's still a good resource and would recommend checking it out if you can find it second hand/cheap.
