I find templating the best way of producing a good quality.consistent site quickly

 

lets say I'm building a 5 page site

 

 

I build template.html and heavily test it in IE 6- 8 and proper browsers FFox, Opera etc

 

this template is then used to form the bones for every other page in the site

 

is this the system most of you use?

Yep, thats basically what I do.

I usually have three files (min) per page:

 

header.php

footer.php

 

then content.php.

 

I'd then require the header and footer when needed

I find this works best for creating easy pages.
