Id like to create some sort of a gaming community site displaying the latest gaming news. Ive managed to do the basics of what i want using joomla www.transatlantickillers.co.cc (link likely down atm since im moving hosts) but id like to display the feeds in a specific layout like the image attached. Id like to know if this is possible, using joomla or something like simplepie.

joomla has a feed grabber built in, i used it on a site i did, look in the admin panels for it (i cannot remember where it was)

Yes as i say ive done the basics using joomla but im looking for a specific layout, like the attached image with image previews to the left of the feed. Is this possible ? I havent seen any feature to display them like this in joomla.

have a look at the joomla plugins or find out where the function settings are done and customise it

 

joomla forums would be the first port of call for that sort of thing
