My first design for this client, any ideas? The pictures i've been given are quite formal so i've tried to keep the design the same.

Its getting there.

 

I just think all the content needs breaking up a bit as it all seems to run it together. Maybe do the different sections in different shades, or use lines to break them up.

 

But other than that i think its a nice design.

I think maybe the pictures need a thick border, and the sections need coloured background as at the moment they seem to be just floating on the page randomly - I know they're not but they need something to band the different sections together. I'm not sure I like the gradient on the grey at the top... maybe a line between the purple and the grey instead?

 

All in all I love the design, the colours are great and the header is really good, it fits really nicely

Yes I think different shades in the content boxes will really help

I think it looks great, color, gradients and typography are nice. only small thing is mabe put the 'buy music' as a widget in the sidebar (maybe footer?) or set it apart from the rest of the text a little - if for no other reaason than to draw a little more attention to it. Excellent design IMHO good work.
