How do you guys and girls implement a search box for a website. google custom search looks like a fairly straight forward way. Any good alternatives out there. I need to be able to customise the look of it and use my own button.

good site search isn't a bad choice if you only have a static website - if the websites content is held in a database you have a lot more options though.
