I want to begin by saying I hate IE6 and despise IE7 and begrudge IE8 as much as the next web guy. I would love to chuck them down a black hole and ban Microsoft from ever making browsers.

 

But recently, Microsoft have kinda redeemed themselves a bit. "Have they forced IE6 users to upgrade?" I hear you cry. Sadly not.

 

I'm talking about Microsoft's new SuperPreview software, which allows you to easily view a web page in IE6, IE8 and IE8's compatibility view (essentially IE7). (Note: depending on your current IE browser depends on which browsers you can view.) There's a ton of cool features included, like viewing them side-by-side, viewing them overlaid (which can give you a headache pretty quickly), analysing sections of code like Firebug does, and some more cool things.

Finally, Microsoft makes my day a little better.

Yea, the IE team is on right track again - but still doing catch-up. I just hope they don't put a fork in it again like they did with IE6.

Give it two years, w2k will be almost completly gone, and it'll take ie6 down to the fiery pits of the recycle bin with it

 

TBH i've not heard anyone say anything about expression web, and with Microsoft holding their hands up that ie6 was a disaster, and the improvements in their browsers, i'm tempted to give it a go
