RunKeeper for the iPhone

Featured Replies

This morning I was having a browse of the iPhone App Store over breakfast as you do and I came across a program called RunKeeper which claimed to:

  • Track how far you travel
  • Track how fast you traveled
  • Estimate the amount of calories burned

It has more features but the three above were enough reason for me to check out the free download, I have just been for a walk and tested it out and I am truly blown away by it, the on screen stats it gave me were quite impressive however then it uploaded all the data to my online profile on the RunKeeper website which actually includes a map showing the path I walked and allows you to see where I was at specific points in time, you can check it out for yourself here: http://www.runkeeper.com/pub/act/kBw7m6HWKuwYcivGXt2d

If you are into jogging, running, walking, biking or any exercise that requires you to travel you should definately check it out, it records all the data by using a GPS connection so unfortunately using it on the iPhone 2G and iPod Touch are out of the question, but if you have an iPhone 3G/3GS you definately have to give it a try!
