June 26, 200917 yr I have a couple new skills to add to the services list, including a new freelancer, and obviously want to reach current / old / potential clients. I also have an announcement about a new organisation I'm setting up. Do you design a newsletter, or send it as a friendly email? My only niggle with designed newsletters is I tend to delete them as soon as I see them as it's generally sales gumfph. A friendly email I think seems a bit more personal and they know you've written it yourself, rather than 'robotic'. What are your opinions?
June 26, 200917 yr Take the time to write individual letters to each client, you don't want a load of different ones. If you, for example, send a letter to one client who has a CMS already, then send the same one to someone who has an e-commerce site then what you're writing may not be applicable. By writing individual letters, you can get straight to the point and write your recommendations and new services. One thing that may be good is if you create a single pdf file with a description of all your services, and you can attach it to each e-mail you send, or put it on your server for download.
