PR and position in SERPs

Featured Replies

I find that in Google search result pages, the PR of the website in the front position is lower than the below. What's the matter? What's the relationship between the position and PR? Or they are just two unallied things?

Pls give me some advice. Thanks!

Search engine optimisation is esentially manipulating the way search engines work to make your site appear higher on Google, as such the search engines, such as Google, have had to modify and adapt to this ever growing business, trying to make it more and more fair for people who use Google and are on Google. Now, the PR has little effect on where you are positioned on Google because of all the new methods of SEO that are more effective, such as keyword targeting within domains and title tags. I'm sure that it's dawned on Google how easy it now is to get back-links.

However, having a high page rank is always a good thing, and it's not completely useless, so go ahead and work on building up some good backlinks, but always remember to have a good, descriptive domain name, well-written title tags and well-written content.

I've just visited your website, for an SEO expert, you should know about this and read up on the best methods of search engine optimisation. You also have a graph on your website that is increasing, you should know that SEO is a declining market being overtaken by SEM. There are several things on the site that are suggesting that your methods are old and possibly out-dated, you should always check the dates on the articles you read on SEO because no matter how credible the source, they will be made obsolete sooner or later.

I'm sorry but

What the hell is that?

How can you offer SEO to clients when you cant even write in fluent English?

PR is a good thing as mentioned but is not a must to have a top Google ranking. Many times, you may find a PR3 website higher than another competitor having PagaRank 5 and this matter is important because sometimes even powerful link building can be done with no PR considerations.

ROFL I can't believe the OP is trying to sell SEO services. They clearly have NFI what is going on.

I saw this exact same thread on Digital Point, the guy is a spammer who in some bizarre world thinks people might think him competent enough to use for SEO services.

Was probably just a link drop via his sig, it used to have a link to his site selling SEO services. Looks like the mods rightly removed his sig. :)
