June 22, 200917 yr Right you may have seen my other post asking if a site that fills the whole browser is possible and I have learnt that it is just subtle tricks that give the impression that the site fills the page. My page currently available here http://www.motif.tv is all placed within a wrapper/container div tag and appears to be giving me issues with trying to make the header div span the browser. I have tried placing this particular div before the wrapper div in the code but then it disappears from the face of the earth. I don't want to start my design from scratch and would just like to make my current one look a bit more like http://www.texturelovers.com in layout terms. I imagine one of you clever people could take one look at my code and tell me what I need to do. The Div I want to turn into the spanned across the width of the browser so far is called "headerblue" I don't know where to start with this so all help is appreciated. As a small token the person who supplies the best method of doing this will be donated £2.00 via paypal for their time. Please put a link to your paypal if you wish to be up for the chance
June 22, 200917 yr easy make sure the leading right edge of the image is a web friendly colour (#??????) and then set the background of the DIV to the same colour (#??????) you can then align the image left or right in the div. You can also set the backgoround image to be top left, set the colour of the background too, and then align an image top right in the div (making sire the LHS of the image is same colour as background As the page expands, the LH and RH images expand out, leaving a big blue gap between them. because it is the same blue as in the images, it will appear like the banner is expanding

Any chance you could break that down into stupid person language. Better yet the offer is £5.00 if you fix it for me lol Thanks
June 22, 200917 yr You could make life a ton easier for yourself by using floated divs instead of all the AP divs you have, you could get the exact layout you want by using at least half the code, and you would be able to separate the header and set it to width: 100%; and it would stretch the full width of the screen no matter what res the viewer was looking at your site in. It would mean re doing your layout but to be honest I think it would be worth it. Have you created this in the design view of Dreamweaver 8 by any chance?
June 22, 200917 yr i agree with t_break .... your code is a mess, so much un needed stuff there, use floats and set the width ... i have always used floats to get my designs exactly how i want them
