June 16, 200917 yr I'm pitching to build a site this week for a small company offering rural holiday accommodation and just wondered if anyone could shed some light on the following, as I've never worked with a booking system before. What I'd like to do is provide two quotes - one for a site with a booking system that doesn't take payments (i.e. visitors can search for available dates, but then have to contact the company direct to make a payment), and another for the whole shebang (i.e. booking and payments). My questions are... 1. What software/systems are available for both options (open source would be great). 2. What additional considerations are there with the second option - would it need an SSL certificate, ongoing maintenance or anything like that? Basically, if the site is going to hold credit card details etc, I don't want to miss out anything important. Thanks.
November 28, 201213 yr anyone? Although the topic is old, is not answered. One solution to the two problems is http://www.webiny.com/webiny-booking-system/
