June 3, 200917 yr I have tried to put a map on my website. When I click on the page in question it shows this... The Google Maps API server rejected your request. This could be because the API key used on this site was registered for a different web site. You can generate a new key for this web site at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/. How can it be used on a different website? How do I get another, that link doesn't seem to help, I just get the same one.

I have been to the link but can't find any other information on how to change it again. There is always the chance that I'm missing something obvious......it won't be the first time!

August 10, 200917 yr Hi Not sure why you are having the specific problems with the API key. I recently helped a friend who is planning a trip across Africa and wished me to summarise some of the Google Maps stuff on Google for him for his specific needs. Which was to embedd an interactive map into his website so he could place markers and an information bubble on it so his friends and family could see his progress. I actually went and got the API for him and emailed it to him as he does not have an account with Google and there was no problem with this. The tutorial I wrote for him is here if anyone is interested: http://www.justfigures.co.uk/articlesguides/mapguide.php I remember that when I got the API key for him I made sure that it was generic to the whole domain, in other words I just specified the domain and did not include any subdomain or the 'www'.
