Hi everyone,

due to the comments ive had, ive tried to "grunge" it up slightly, make it abit darker (and the logo will be redone into darker colours soon too)

Opinions of these 2 are appreciated.

the first one is the better for me.

Maybe try and add a little bit of colour other than the green bullets.

Personally I like the first one best, maybe have a little less text using the same font? :)

I did consider bringing in my blue logo (maybe shade it slightly darker) and matching the bullets and the footer images to that, but i didnt think that blue would fit.

meh, looks like one of those COD4 gaming clan websites.

also, i dont think you should be saying the cost your soul because well, let be honest. do you really want to be one of the generic guys who competes for the low end? maybe turn it around.. business people are competitive .. so.. maybe.. we make website so profitable, they might just cost your competitors their soul.

Hey,

I actually preferred the last - more corporate - design you posted. This I think is a little too grunge. If you could find a balance between the two I think you may be on to something.

As for the 'wont cost your soul' tagline, leave it as it is - I like it. The one posted above is awful. Doesnt even make sense.

Its a fine line to walk, but i am unsure what i need to do next, so anybody who can give some ideas i would be more than happy to listen. as i said before, i could am going to look into the option of adding more blue.

I like the tag line seeing as everyone in these tough times are looking to save money.

I prefer the first design as to me the second one seems a bit bland without the image behind the tag line. But adding a bit of colour even if it is just your logo and incorporating the bullets in the same colour would be beneficial.

A little bit of a rework.

Always open to opinions/thoughts, both good and bad.

I personally like the blue. Now I'm no expert in design but what about using the blue in the re-work with the image you used in the first design with the tag line.

Not too sure about the new links but hey like I said I'm no expert

I like the new blue one. Still needs some work though.

Header area is a bit too plain for my liking and perhaps you could add something on the right (could move the recent comments up there).

The menu seems too big compared to the rest of the site. You could try making the text smaller, and add an icon to the left of each item.

Make sure you fill those gaps with nice colourful images, as the site looks very monotone right now (grunge sites can look colourful).

The line with your services (Design, Hosting, Marketing, Support) conflicts with the menu for me, but modifications to the menu may solve that.

The area with the tag line is quite a waste of space - I know the effect you're trying to achieve with a simple, bold line of text but for this site it doesn't seem to work for me. Maybe you could have the tagline on one side, and an image of a site from your portfolio on the other.

I definitely like the new blue design more. Maybe if you try applying a slight gradient (I think your first design with the blue had a radial gradient?) to the blue.

Also, Im sure youre going to change it as its only a draft design but the text at the minute is too large.

Thanks for the responses, ill look at changing the menu text and other items.

Any other recommendations?

Hi everyone,

sorry for the slowness, but im having to pull double shifts in my other job (8 days running, shortest day is 8 hours) as well as any work im doing for other people.

I am trying to decide, behind the menu, when you scrollover, which colour would look best?

Also, for the slogan, i am going to cut out the 2 images that are on there, move the text to the left, and have a mini portfolio type thing, showcasing 5 or 6 sites. Where the client can click on little arrows to change between them. Do you feel that would be a better use of the space?
