April 25, 200917 yr Hello! A review of http://www.axelg.com would be most appreciated. The site is 10 months old. I've coded it myself and would appreciate some feedback on how to improve the design. Many thanks +_+ axel g
April 25, 200917 yr Well first, I would like to welcome you to Web Designer Forum. Second, the site seems kind of plain. Try using other colors or some images or something. I would also like to tell you that your practices in html could be improved. First, instead of using tables try using div's and css. Also start learning a little more about what you can do with CSS. You will be amazed on how this could improve your site. Also, I am not saying that don't use tables. I am simply saying that use CSS and div's for your layout and tables for modular type data. Also, something else you could learn is a programming language such as Php. I only say that because you will be really thankful on how you could implement different items into your site. Hope this helps! -John
April 25, 200917 yr Hi, Like to say that you've made a good stab and obviously worked hard on the site. A few things I noticed: A) The DVD selection on the right overlaps the body text (in FF) The menu on the left looks like a list of add links C) The numbers at the bottom start at 2?
April 26, 200917 yr Hi I agree with what has been said already. I would say you need some 'personality'. Maybe a nice header image or something.... are you familiar with photoshop or equivalent? Have a look here > http://www.invision-graphics.com/article39...your-sites.html and maybe this: http://www.entheosweb.com/photoshop/header.asp Then, i think it would be worth working on your text. At the moment yours is a bit cramped up. The size, spacing and colour can definitely change the appearance in a BIG way. Have a look at this online tool: http://www.typetester.org/ This tool allows you to see the difference between fonts and also fiddle with line and letter spacing. It can also then give you the css for what you like! Nice huh? Hope this helps. Keep up the good work and ask again if you need more help
