Hello,

Before I knew about SEO, I had my website as http://www.ocularharmony.com and http://ocularharmony.com, however I changed the NON-www version to a 301 to prevent google from adding both to the cache. My question is - would google still have the entire NON-www version of my site in it's cache, yet just inaccessible to the human viewer due to the 301? I'm afraid this might be penalizing me, any help would be great!

I'm pretty sure that it's just not cached at all, the www. subdomain is only cached.

Providing you have a site wide 301 redirect sending all non-www to the www sub-domain you will not be penalised whatsoever.
