site change to fit the resolution

Featured Replies

if i build a site for a small resolution for example 800 x 600 if it gets viewed on a bigger resolution for example 1025 x 900 would the site change to fit the resolution?

To be honest if you googled the same question, you'd get millions of answers but all result to more or less the same thing; the resolution of anything on the screen changes pending the user preferences, websites are pretty much the same, 800x600 was the resolution most people preferred a while back; now its more 1024x768 try and base your site around any of them sizes, test at different resolutions and notice the differences that way would be my advice

thanks. i will try that, i have a 15" a 19" and a 22" to try it on.

Sampling the sizes to different monitors and resolutions is great whichever works best is the way to go; when i first started i designed a site for a client that was amazing on my screen, but his PC was outdated and he ran on a 800x600 resolution and it looked awful; that was an amateur mistake i wont be making again believe me :p Also a note on the page, "best viewed at 800x600" can be useful
