First off a bit of background information on the client - the brand/website is being designed to represent our university engineering team in a project called Formula Student, in which students build and race their own formula one racing car in a worldwide competition.

 

We're happy enough with the overall visual aspects of the design (the banner has changed a lot since the attached picture, I don't have a copy handy at the minute though). I should also note that the mock up below is quite rough at the minute, there are several little imperfections.

 

I'm really just looking for some feedback on how to improve the typography and layout of the main content section of the website as it is pretty weak and boring the minute.

 

 

Any advice on how to improve it is welcome

It looks really nice. I can't fault the design. A personal preference of mine is too align paragraphs justified.

Very nice design. The only thing I would suggest is to align the "Associated Links" items to the left (the same left margins as the "Associated Links" text itself).
