Hello , I'm working on my site design . I have all pages up but Content on pages is just temp while I'm trying to get the right look and layout feel for each page. I know there are lots of minor issues with each page but I'm more after if the colors ok and any ideas to improve it or things I can add to make it better. Many thanks people for your time.

My first thought was that the "Creative Scripting" image was too hard to read.

 

Maybe get rid of the outer glow.

 

TBH I think there are too many fonts going on mate.

 

Maybe stick with 2 or 3 max.

Thanks for that.the page is temp and so the image I'm just trying to see if the colors are good and the site style . I'm not to sure as I'm my biggest critic.

The menu is hard to read, and the design looks too glossy. I like the style by the way .

The shadow on the read more button looks wrong and the outer glow on the left-hand side navigation should be dropped or made more subtle.

I may get shot down here, but I don't think pink is a good colour for a web design studio (unless you're Dizi! or are aiming purely at the female market). And if you use pink, you have to be pretty bold and confident about it, whereas the pink you've used (headers, sidebar etc) is quite pale and washed-out.

 

Design Meltdown is a useful CSS showcase for colour inspiration, because it has pages for each colour theme.

FLUORESCENT PINK! is probably something i put into all my projects and then remove at the end i love the fluorescent colours

 

The column on the left, i agree with the previous comments. All your other pages have the same layout, maybe make some tweaks to add a bit of diversity into the content structure. Makes life a little more exciting.

 

Overall i think it's got a lot going for it, although it seems very rigid and blocky to me. You've got plenty you can play with, just tone down some of the text effects and maybe make the header a little less square.

 

Like zig said, inspiration sites are your friend, don't worry about stealing ideas (read the quote in my sig ). Create something memorable, in my experience, my design that leaves photoshop goes through a fair bit of remodelling in the browser.

 

I'm liking the spacing on the text though, that's one thing that really hacks me off when people have nice sites and then they don't spend any time making the text fit, just use defaults ):

I don't really mind the pink myself. I like the opacity navigation - keep it! The background as a solid grey looks pretty boring for a design studio site. And take the outer glow out or any text that has it . I'm not the biggest fan of the 2nd logo font myself with the bevel and the serif font, but the "swiped" looks great. Hope that helps!

The logo fonts dont go together I dont think.

And the glow on the sub nav doesn't do it for me.

 

I'd get rid of the shadow on the read more button and stick with the drop shadows you use on the other boxes.

 

The gradient on the footer is nice, but the shadow around the div "main" cuts off at the bottom when it doesn't touch the bottom of the page.
