February 28, 200917 yr What kind of colour code? Hex, RGB? Can you post an example? And also, your photoshop is set to RGB not CMYK right? (Image > Mode > RGB)

It could be caused by a few things, when it happened to me it was the settings in photoshop. I had it set to something odd instead of my normal RGB.

Is this a problem that manifests itself when using a GIF file - the colours are different between the background of a GIF and a HTML background colour it is on or next to for example? If so, it could be down to how the colour is being saved as a GIF. Try saving it using 'Save as' in Photoshop, rather than 'Save for Web and Devices' - that's fixed it a couple of times for me. Using Fireworks to create the graphics instead can also resolve the issue. Using a transparent GIF is also an alternative solution. A last resort is to use a 1px GIF saved in Photoshop the same way as the graphic for the background, rather than using a background colour coded in HTML.
