All I do is just use slices to get the images I need from my design and use them in the coding.

if you want edit your html with slicing you need to design a layout in photoshop, then there was a tool Slice Tool (short cut key "K"), select it and cut with the slice toolwhat you want means (menus, table) and goto flle menu in the file menu one option is there Save for Web (in photoshop CS3 Save for web and Device) and select the option html and images now give the name you can get the images and html page

please don't listen to shiriyal, this causes more problems so really doesn't save you time. The best way is just slice the bits you need and then code the site by hand

http://www.htmldog.com/ is a good site to help with that.

It may take a little longer in the beginning to get used to but in the long run it saves you a lot of time and makes updating your sites a lot easier...as you actually know how to design a website rather than relying on something else to make them for you.
