Change the look of submit button in PHP file?

Featured Replies

I am trying to style a newsletter subscription box on a site I am building. I have managed to get it looking as I wanted apart from one thing, the submit button. I have changed it from saying "submit" to "go", but cannot seem to work out how to change the appearance of the button, such as its color. I want the button to be purple, is this possible? And also I wanted it positioned to the right of the input box, rather than underneath it. If so any instructions on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated. I have attached some documents (css and php) and an image to show my problem.

I think you may use inline styling in this case.

< input type="submit" value="Go" style="background: #93828C;float:right">

input.classname {
 background-color : red;
 color : black;
}

<input class="classname" type="submit" value="GO" />

Don't use inline styles.. separate your content from your presentation!

I can't get that method to work, the color is still grey.
