December 13, 200817 yr there is currently a battle in the phone industry and google seems to be winning. one of the reasons is that android is a consumer to seller rather than apples (seller to apple to consumer). with android seller or developers can sell directly to consumers without any approval. is this good or bad. virus's can easily be attached to the files. what do you think of the battle.
January 22, 200917 yr Yeah bad for virus so my vote goes to apple. But the company -> customer service without approval is better than apple's.. but still no virus and it works flawless for me!
February 11, 200917 yr Your question was the main problem i had when deciding if i wanted a G1 or a iPhone....if i could have both i would, sadly thats not the case. Anyway, I decided to go for the iPhone. To my anger though (mainly at myself for not checking) i've found out that the iphone SDK is only available for macs grrr... So it looks like i wont be making any apps any time soon.
March 31, 200917 yr Well I'm loving the G1. I've had it pretty much since it was released and don't know what I would do without it, the apps/calendar/address book/e-mail sync tools are great. About two months after I got my G1 I purchased a new iMac after having PC's for years, I hate Vista and couldn't bring myself to go from XP to Vista so bought a Mac. Best thing I ever did. I was a bit worried that the G1 maybe wouldn't be compatible as Apple is obviously going to put more emphasis on the iPhone than other devices, but it works great and syncs nicely with all the Apple software. I am very curious to see what the iPhone has to offer as I am loving my iMac and Apple has really impressed me.
