Personal webpage opinion

Featured Replies

Hello,

I made a new version of my personal webpage.

I've been trying to make it in minimalist style.

What do you think about it?

Oh, and I know it looks bad in IE, will try to fix it...

This is beautifull, perfect!

that kid is going to be a rock star

Ill just help you with your english,

He has recorded two CDs, the first having just 10 years.

"He has recorded two Albums, his first when he was just 10 years old".

though you can say CD's if you like, its kind out-dated now

recorded 2 cd-s.
(from homepage)

"and has recorded 2 Albums."

Just sounds better i think.

Mate the site looks beautiful!

Well done!

There are a few grammar/spelling mistakes on the content though.

I'd spend some time getting it right!

Site is pretty good (glad to see it validates). I also see you're using WordPress.

There's container overload in the code, it works fine but is a little bloated.

Personally I think that minimalist designs need some really nice details to set them off, which you don't have any. Discrete things could really help.

Keep up the good work.

Agree with Mesa. It just needs a little something to give it some life, a background image or something. Other than that, it's good, and very easy to read.

I just noticed a couple of things though.

1) The header and navigation link text is blocky in Opera.

2) In the About page, there are comment tags visible at the bottom of the page (in Firefox)

Good work

The site looks good though I think it would look better if you try to add some style and design on the site.

The homepage looks quite confusing because it only has an image and a simple text that is not written in English.

Hi

It is a nice website, but to basic for my taste.

The front cover is very shallow and lacks any purposeful direction.

I would tune that that first and it should then come on a ton.

That’s my humble opinion.

Good luck

Thanks for advices!

I've tryed to fix some of things you pointed out.

However, I have problem with the font size in Opera (only for Mac I think) - it's bigger than planned, that causes the problem with title and menu.

I got through a lot of articles about this issue and tryed a lot of solutions, but none of them worked. It seems, that it's beyond my abilities...

I'm also surprised, that you are confused about the home page, I though that people will figure out what to do when there is no other choice ;) - especially that other musicians websites uses even more free solutions.

This is beautifull, But no one in the word perfect. So your site is also not perfect.

But your site is very nice. I like it very much.

Front page of your site is not too much good.

I think it is because of it only has an image and a simple text that is not written in English.

The front cover is very shallow and lacks any purposeful direction.

It would look better if you try to add some style and design on the site.
