If your desktop was like a keyboard...

Featured Replies

You know when you've had a keyboard for like, ever, you can tell which keys you are using the most. Either because the letters have come off, or the matt finish is now a nice slippery slidey sheen?

Well, if your desktop (yes, the one on your monitor; not the one with 20 notepads, spare hard drives, calculator, speakers, some strange object which you don't know what is, but it just looks good) was affected in the same way, what would be the thing that would be worn out?

Mine would have to be Adept Manager (linux) and the back button on firefox.

When i started reading this i was getting excited, i thought you were going to say there was a program that traced your mouse movements and made a faded image of your desktop depending on where the mouse had been...would be useless but fun.

awch well.

i think my most worn out part would be VLC shortcut and i'd have a big worn scratch down the right hand side of the screen becuase i've used too many scroll bars!

I rarely use it, but if anything it'd be the recycle bin, all of my files are stored nicely away and as for opening Firefox etc, I just use the winkey then arrow keys :) much easier, particularly when I'm using the touchpad on my mouse.

The shortcut to Firefox in the quick launch bar.
