Which CMS?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone - I am looking for a cms recommendation. I have used CushyCMS before - but it doesn't really go far enough. Does a CMS exist where I can set up a website design myself (using html, css and php)- then allow my customer to update page content, upload Pdfs and add links to them (for monthly meeting notes etc) amd possibly add new pages to the site. I know I want it all - ideally I'd like to be able to plug in my design to a CMS (rather than having to write the site based on the CMS's templates) and set up editable sections (like you can on cushy).

Am having a quick look at CMSmadeeasy - but does anyone have any other suggestions - there seem to be loads of CMS's out there!!

Thanks,

Jo

These features are available in most CMS including Joomla, Drupal, Plone etc. You should explore these and see if any of them satisfy all your needs.

I personally boast about Joomla all the time, I have built dozens of sites with Joomla, it's my favorite and has just about everything you could ask for.

If it doesn't, you can add on easily, if you have the knowledge.

Best of luck in your quest.

Once again, I'm going to suggest modx.

ANY web page can be configured to work with the CMS, just by adding a couple of tags in the code.

Very user-friendly back-end, very easy to use.
