Is it possible to create this effectin CSS (ignore the awfuly designed website that was my first back in the day :p).

example here:

lanch.jpg

I'd also like to know how to make the image fade while hovering over the text.

thank you :)

You can use the following CSS to make the image become solid when the mouse rolls over it:

a img {
filter: alpha(opacity=50);
opacity: 0.5;
}
a:hover img {
filter: alpha(opacity=100);
opacity: 1;
}

I haven't tested this but it should work.

ah nice one thats what i was looking for.

Stay away from .js that's well dated.

As said use :hover on whatever element you want to assign the hover over effect to.

(with navigation, li a:hover;)
