quick Text CSS problem

Featured Replies

hi all,

i know this is just one of my 1st posts so apologies. but my problem is but a small one (i hope)

my sub-menu here appears in black in FF and white in IE. it should be black only, but IE does not seem to respond to the style.

any ideas? i am just defining the colour as per normal in the stylesheet

thanks in advance

heres the code, i took over the design from some1 else, so im not sure why <li class-"sub-menu-item'> is there, as its not defined in the stylesheet. but this should not matter, no??

thanks again

styled as:

#product_list {
padding-left: 10px;
font-style: italic;
font-size: 12px;
color: #000000;
background-color: #e7e7e7;
font-weight: normal;
}

and inserted as:

<ul id="product_list">
<li class="sub-menu-item"><a href="wood_pellet_boilers.html">Wood Pellet Boilers »</a></li>
<li class="sub-menu-item"><a href="wood_log_boilers.html">Wood Log Gasification Boilers »</a></li>

</ul>

Hi, your page isn't loading for me but try nailing it down specifically in the css.

ul#product_list li a {
color:#fff;
}

That should hopefully do it.

hi the site shoudl be up and running now, ive updated the stylesheet, which can be dl'd here, but still the same problem on IE. strange :\ it is changing the colour in both Dreamweaver and Firefox!!! im stumped.

thanks for ur help so far

Ok, I've seen the site now.

You just need to be even more specific.

ul#product_list li.sub-menu-item a {
color:#666;
}
ul#product_list li.sub-menu-item a:hover {
color:#fff;
}

That seems to work for me.
