Got into work this morning and was ambushed by one of the managers. Basically he wanted to take a layout for a web site I built and adapt it for a couple of pages in a magazine. I went on to explain that I have little to no knowledge of print and that I would have to pretty much start from scratch as everything that I did was not high enough quality to print.

 

We have 10 or so magazine/print designers and I am the only web designer they have in Wales. So why the hell is he asking me to do it.

 

Not as though I didn't have anything better to do, after all I just sit in the corner playing around with the internet!!

 

Stupid idea anyway.

I'm sure you'll be fine mate, it can't be that different from layouts, if anything it'll be a lot easier because it'll be drag and drop etc, as opposed to typing in pixels lol .

 

Take it as a new opportunity .
