Hello from a Yank

Hello all,

As the title indicated I'm a retired American Unix Sys Admin, now living a life of ease in the Pennine dales. My work never involved web design so, although I'm fairly savvy on most things computer related, I'm about as newbie as they come on web design. I'm in process, for the fun of it, of learning CSS by migrating my personal site from frames to CSS. My first point of reference from my own bookshelf is the old O'Reilly HTML & XHMTL book which discusses CSS but not enough to really get into it. So, I've been looking on the web and came across this board, which looks great! I'll be looking into the tutorial sections of the board in hopes of finding some step-by-step info to modify the scatter-gun knowledge I've acquired so far. I'm looking forward to learning a lot here!
