Make sure you make regular backups.

 

My hard drive died the other day and with it a new site I was nearly finished with and of course all my work, data, resources, music arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh

 

I'm going to make a gallows to put myself in.

Thing about this it generally only has to happen once and then you'll make sure to back everything up and maybe even make a back up of the back up just to be safe. Sorry to hear about this, I feel your pain, while I finishing up my senior year of art school my laptop crashed on me, the hard drive wouldn't start up, I read online about how you can restore some hds by freezing them, I tried it out, it would boot but then get hung up. Maybe give it a try. Look it up online first, also now there is some pretty decent software out for hd rcovery.
