Hi there, i've recently decided to start making a site which is a crossover between a blog/portfolio/CV

 

i was just wondering if some folks could give some "creative feedback" on the design.

 

p.s. i know the text is a bit cheesy but i'll change that as i gradually finish off the site.

1) Blog? What is it going to be powered by? It would be a good idea to build using Wordpress I have done that way your site will look the same as your blog for continuity... See my site below or www.logodesign-uk.com for blog/cv/portfolio sites built using WPress

3) Design wise:

 

- It all feels a little cramped.. Slim sites can look great but text for instance is often kept to a minimum, and your site seems to have alot of content.

- i would reduce the text size

- I would add some sort of colour somewhere... Black and white can look great: http://csswizardry.com/typogridphy/ - you howevr ave alot of shades of grey here and there, it all feels a little 'washed-out' and mis-matched, making it feel very early 90's web-design.

I'm just going to code my own cms for the blog, have done it before for other sites so i should be ok that way.

As for colour, i thought it was good at first having only grey shades, but now there is a little content it does look a little boring and cramped.
