Thanks for the advice, as you say it's not for credit cards etc, it is more to stop jo public being able to see the Wholesale prices. So i'll look at .htaccess I wanted to put the FTP in the trade section as well just to stop anyone uploading crap. For the FTP I'm going use Bullet proof FTP, my mate recommended it to me. I was a Network Engineer (Cisco etc) so understand bits. But web programing is new to me so I'm learning as I go along. But have to run the business as well! I'm not sure what server I'm on. I'm with 1and1 hosting So i'll check with them. Thanks for your help

Hi Yes I built the site myself, so am learning all the time. The code is probably a bit mucky but it works! Would be good to have a trade section as we keep getting asked if we have one. I also want to setup FTP section so users can upload Pictures to us.

Hi, I would like to password protect an area on my website where I can list a trade price list. What is the best way to do this? I guess it would be best If the user could fill in a form and then get a logon sent back to them. Is this easy(ish) to do? Can I get hold of a script that does this? Thanks

I want to be able to send bi monthly newsletters to customers for my company, regarding new products etc. I would like them to be able to opt in from the website. I have looked at Sendblaster as it allows us to send up to a 100 at a time for free, and if we get bigger we can go down the Pro version. Are there any problems with newsletter regarding our ISP? We are with BT on a business account. thanks for the help in adavance.

Thanks for the feedback. regarding the pics of the books new ones will be going on we are just making the new books at the moment, as soon as they are done , the new images can be put up. Regarding the quotes I think I need to redo them. and make sure I keep the same font size in all of them as otherwise it jumps about to much. I think I will make the text that is read sit in a wider coloum so it does not stretch so far down the page. I agree with the PDF's but how do i make them open in a new page? I think the header image also needs to be nice and colourful, as this would bring the whole page up, I think a nice picture of the books would be better. I'm hoping to bring some more colour into the site with the new pics of the books. You have to remember I'm not a web designer I'm learning this as I go along so any advice is welcome.

Right I have updated the site www.bespokephotobooks.com it is still not 100% as we are waiting on some new pictures and also I need to write some more text i.e the News page and I am also going to change the download graphics But any advice would be welcome.

Yep Leek Road was there when I was there, they still got the film theatre on the othersite? College road?? I lived in the Villas down in Stoke, then Shelton New Road, then Ashford Street. Is it still as grey as I remember? Spent many a drunken night in Chester days at the races etc, Off the wall, Brannigans etc etc...
