  1. Yah, split you domains from your hosting to avoid nightmares!!....In fact best to manage domains with reputable companys like Fasthosts, Go Daddy, Reg123. It doesnt really matter where your hosting is?....relaibility and support is the key and Hostgator are way ahead and great price too.
  2. I never really participated in forums before, but I thought I'd better start to share my experiences since I have been in the web building game for nearly 10 years. I consider myself a web builder and I'm from the UK. I quite like this forum and it is UK based, so I will try to be of help. Some of my favourite web building tools and apps etc Hostgator Web Hosting , by far the best reseller package I ever had. Since I had nightmares with GNHosting and Siteground before. Wordpress Blogs - they are great to work with Elgg Social Network - I'm just getting into this now Xampp for my home server Freeway Shopping Cart - This is a much improved version od osCommerce, I'm very familair with this now. php/MySQL - Can't live without php includes I will stop here as I have experience with most apps. cybergord
  3. I always disguise my php pages using mod rewrite in htaccess, so a page like /index.php?page=home reads /home.html. I'm not even sure how this affects SEO, but it keeps my pages inline with most of the web and what most are familiar with. Coding links is tidier too.
