thanks for your quick replies. I'll have a look. I noticed that Heart Internet's reseller package with HostPay seems to be a bit more powerful then other solutions. Has anyone tried and have feedback about that offering?

I need some advice... I have always offered my web design customers to host with me and by doing this I now have nearly 100 customer hosting with me. As I have run out of space on one of my Designer/Reseller hosting account I have added a new one and so on. However, going forward, I need to consolidate all customers on one platform to be able to provide them with a good consistent service and to make my life easier. I think its at a point now when it would make financial sense to look at leasing my own server. Looking at this from a business point of view I am also considering trying to market this part of the business and to grow to perhaps 500 hosting customer within the next 2 years. Problem is that I am in this situation not by design by by accident since I always saw it as an addon service and not the core business. However i am keen to grow it and learn about server technologies and perhaps even hire some part time help at some point. It is quite clear that the usual reseller platform isn't a good solution when you have 100+ customer since you are always at their mercy. On the flipside of that same coin they are good to have as support. e.g. a while back they were able to restore some of my customers sites that had been hacked. What is your suggestion? Ideally I would like to use some kind if whitelabelled system for the frontend where customer can choose hosting package and domain name and the possibility to login to their account for web mail etc. And for the back end I need some kind of secure dedicated web server or even a data centre, which is managed to a certain level. roman cart is good if you have a limited number of products or/and if they do not need updating too often. I quite like CS Cart (PHP) , www.cs-cart.com. I have used it on 3-4 customers and its very powerful out of the box (it costs about £160 for the first license and then £90/license after that) Its easy to turn off features & modules you don't need which allows you to keep the design simple if necessary. On the cs-cart web site you can have a look at the demo but be sure to have a look at live site examples - it will show you what can be done with the template system. Regards ola
