Fair point about it being a non-SAAS product. But I think video is an exception for that. With my home internet it takes ages to upload video, especially with a GoPro which even at 1080p is 4Gb for 17 minutes. And the 3D just looks so much better on a big screen than a phone.

We get most visitors from advertising. I've seen that software before, it's the cost of at least three years membership with our site, more the the Pro version. It deals more with video overlay and adding gauges to video. We're more map focused although there is a video overlay function (but text data only right now so not on the same level). I think you'd need the Pro version of their package to extract things like GPX files. Some visitors bounce, some play around with the demo routes. Our rates for that aren't terrible.

Not many folk have tried the free trial. I'm wondering if your final point may be correct 😞

A test download is free with limited features. A Windows/Mac program takes video from GoPro (and other) cameras, strip the GPS and lets folk view it locally in 2D with a link to their video. They can upload it to our site and share a 3D view of it with friends. Clicking on the uploaded 3D track lets you jump to YouTube footage for the right time (YouTube is optional). Any feedback on why the conversion to buy rate is so low would be gratefully appreciated. It's a complex bit of software although we've really tried to keep it simple, bit harder than selling a tangible consumer product.
