    If I was you, I'd give her a refund and let someone else start from scratch. You'll keep your reputation and dignity intact, (I appreciate your side of the situation is in the right!). At the end of it all, this is just a small local area and there's a whole world of potential clients beyond it, build your own business website and go looking for work beyond the village borders... Onwards and upwards!
