  1. online web development course the way forward?

    Hey i've just signed up to get a little bit of information and browse around the site. I'm just curious on the steps people here have taken to find a job on web development( or are most people self-employed). Most "ICT" jobs posted on the internet around my area are online courses such as "the Training room" I did an I.T course several years ago at a local college (I hold a foundation degree in design and technology) but haven't actually done anything with it and spent the last 7 years in retail. are the online courses a waste of money for a certificate? do employers take these courses into considertaion? or is it just money down the drain.
