Hello old friends. I would very much appreciate your feedback on the structure/design of a personal project I am working on. Although I still consider myself somewhat of a n00b designer I feel this project has been my best work and I am proud of it. With that being said, don't go easy on me. Thanks again for the responses. I will be finalizing version 3. I am very surprised that many of you like the original design better than v3. In my opinion the original design looks bland, old, and moldy. If I work more on v3 do you see the potential for it to be better than the current design? I hope so!

Thanks very much for the comments, especially you Dizi The reason for the beach image in the header is that the store is located just a few minutes from that beach. But, I plan to take some pictures of the store today and hopefully I'll have something else to try. I am now considering removing the text navigation and making those buttons into the new navigation. The only worry is that I need to accomplish this in a way that doesn't hurt the usability of the site. Most of the people who come to the website will be novice computer users. I'll be back with an update later tonight hopefully.

I personally like the light design better, but the client likes the dark design better. Once I do select a final design I plan to include it in my portfolio which I have yet to create.
