Hi Thank you all for your comments, especially the in depth one from King of the lab!! it made a very interesting read...my website is a small basic site, which was to showcase my portfolio of work. I'm not surprised by your responses at all. I had a gut feeling something wasn't right.The fact is I wasn't offered this one off option, until the company realised I wouldn't be ploughing hundreds of pounds a month into Seo fees. I'm not normally this naive, but have definitely learned a valuable lesson.

My website is built and because I couldn't afford the monthly Seo fee of £ 500 the media company offered me a one of fee of ,£500 for Seo work. I was promised I would be on page one for a certain phrase. Obviously this hasn't happened and I beginning to wonder what I have actually been charged for. I've had a second opinion and his view was that the other company had taken me for a ride. I'll be honest, I'm clueless when it comes to SEO, which makes it all the more frustrating. New robots file I have created an updated robots file with a link to the site map and also added additional disavow files to block the cart section of the site. Sitemap I created an xml site map and linked in in the robots file again I set up the Google Webmaster Tools account. SiteMap is also uploaded and linked to Google Account Submitted Submitted to all major search engines and called a Google Bot. I have starred out the website information as I feel it is unfair to name the media company in question. I really really would appreciate your input Regards
