Hello all, to explain my problem i think it's better if i start a little bit farer, because i'm noob and maybe i'm approching the problem in a wrong way My target is to have a gui made of an image always centered and scaled to the display. On this image, some divs containing the interface for different functions. So, first i made my wrapper with the image inside. Then, with jquery, i monitor each display resize and i change the image and wrapper position and dimension. This seems to work well. Then i have all my divs. I put them on the image with left and top margins and, while i resize the image, i apply the same ratio to margins to take the divs in the right place. This also seems to work (but i have to do some + and - to keep divs also centered. Finally, i was trying to scale divs dimension also, to have them "proportional" to the background image. And here problems come. I get the scale value and to it i apply the same ratio. What happens is that AT THE FIRST PAGE LOAD the divs are in the right place and correctly scaled. But when the page resizes, divs are scaled but margin gets bigger and bigger with no (apparent) reason. I understand that to have a punctual solution you should see the code in detail, but since that's long and i think you are not willing that my question is if you know some "common" problem between scale and margins.. More than that, am i managing the problem in the right way? is it right to work at every resize to the values OF THE MOMENT or should i work always on the ABSOLUTE size? Thanks a lot bye

Hello all, i hope i'm in the right section. Seen that there are a dozillions plugins for charting in jquery, i'd like to know if you have one suggestion. I need to display some series of data and simply i'd like to start from something that is "quite good" without risking to use something that will be no more supported and so on.. i.e, i was trying jqXcharts and it seems to me that it becomes deadly slow (client side) when the data to be displayed are more than a few.. So, what plugin should i try? flot? jqplot? what else? thanks

Hi all, i'm new to the forum and i'm searching some help to start a private domotica project. That's not much about "functionality", but about "user interface" I'm thinking to a responsive interface (i'd like to be able to use it on my pc and on my tablet) based on a plan of my room (simple image done with floorplanner) Now, it would be simple to say "image map", but: - it's a quite old way of doing things and maybe (i don't know!) html5 offers something different for the same aim? - it's a nightmare already have a image map responsive (some jquery plugins..) - i've not managed to have a responsive imagemap centered in the page So, basically the idea is: - map of the home as a starting point - different "hot points" for each room to control lights, heating and cooling (and who knows what else ) - i can think to a "dynamic" hover to show basic informations, and then different level of overlays for different level of details (info, control, historical graphs) My question is not about a GUI that can do that, it's about some "ideas".. i.e., what can i use to plot a responsive "image map"? Is it ok jquery for all of the rest? and so on I'm not a web designer and i'm doing this for fun so please speak easy but i've just done a "remote control interface" for my ac system whit bootstrap and a ton of jquery, so something can be done Thanks a lot bye
