  1. Hello all, thought I would re bump this as I disappeared for a while, I am back now and will be coming to a post (with probably some very stupid basic questions) near you soon :-)
  2. I think anyone can be good at anything they truly want to be, but for some it can be a harder road walked than for others.
  3. Excellent much appreciated will get searching now :-)
  4. Hi Guys, Okay I am going to kick off asking a couple of quick questions in this section, before I get myself completely lost in the others. I have decided that I want to get very much to grips with making and designing a few websites for myself, I have played with CSS in the past but I mostly learnt through backward engineering (pulling templates apart in dreamweaver to see how they work). This led to me not really knowing much outside of what I was trying to achieve at the time and I definitely do not know any of the technical terminology So that I can target my searches in this forum to make sure that I don't end up asking the same questions over and over again. My first question is about filters (not even sure this is the right phrase) to start with, the drop down variety you can find in sites such as Ebay - I.E. buying an item within a certain radius, prices etc. I have tried a search with my very limited webdesign vocabulary (I tried "geofilter") which did not yield anything relative on here, does anyone know where would be a good starting place of phrases to type in the search bar? Thanks Sam
  5. Thanks for the welcome guys!
  6. Hi Guys, I am joining for the same reasons as 1001 others, I am looking to improve my skills in web design. I am not looking for a career / job as a result (I already have one completely unrelated to anything web based and one career / job is enough for anyone....argh), I simply have a few projects for myself that I want to get past the drawing board. I have made several very amature CSS sites in the past but to be honest it was so long ago I have probably forgotten just about everything. Anyway, I am looking forward to using the site and I will try not to ask questions that have already been posted before :-) Sam
