Constructive Criticism
That's a good idea. something I'll be doing in the future when I have more work to show.

Constructive Criticism
Thank you Nillervision. It's encouraging to see so many helpful, friendly comments. It's difficult to stay motivated when I see so many beautiful sites on the web but I'm not going to give up. Whether I'm doing this as a job or on the side I'm going to keep moving forward. Thanks again.

Constructive Criticism
I went with small thumbnails because I wanted to have room to add more work later. But I guess I could just use big images instead. Do you think it's better to have maybe 3 of my work displayed in a large size rather than many small images? That's a good idea. What do you think about only displaying maybe three large images of my work rather than many thumbnails? Also another question for anybody reading...after looking at my portfolio what can I improve on in future projects? Things I should do differently for my next website.

@mg178 that's something I'll keep in mind maybe a slightly transparent arrow in the bottom right corner.

Constructive Criticism
Thank you. I decided to remove the up arrow per your feedback. I was going back and forth on the arrow before putting my site up and I decided to just take it off since it seems unnecessary.

I want to thank all of you for the feedback. It's very encouraging. Thank you for the advice. I found the font on font squirrel but didn't know if you could link to the fonts online. I'll look into that. I just wanted to point out I don't use templates because someone suspected me of using templates. I guess because they're mock sites they may look that way. But I really did code them. One more thing...for everyone...should I go for a more traditional looking site for my portfolio? I thought I'd try something different but if it's not appropriate for a portfolio site I'm wiling to change it up. I already have some ideas I may use on my site or another site. I'm just wondering if a cutesy(?) look is appropriate for a portfolio.

Constructive Criticism
Hi I need some constructive criticism and guidance on where I should go with my Web Designs. I've been studying web design for 2 months. I need some specific things I need to work on in the future. Particularly when it comes to coding. I hand code my sites in notepad and Brackets. I do not use templates or any kind of drag and drop program. Minus the contact form I coded everything. I want to market myself as a web designer and illustrator. I'd like some advice on how to progress in that direction. Please take a look at my website and let me know what you think. I was inspired by non-traditional looking portfolios that relied heavily on illustrations. Is that bad?? http://amykay.coffeecup.com
