  1. We just had some pages on our website translated to Russian The problem is that it seems okay when viewing with IE but when we view through Firefox all we get is a mess of garbled characters. Does anyone know where the problem lies? Thanks
  2. We've just had our site translated into Russian. The translated work is on a word document but when we copy and paste it in Dreamweaver all we get is '???????????????????????????????' We changed our keyboard to the Russian character set and can type it onto a word document but as soon as we try to type it in Dreamweaver we get the usual ???????????????????? come up. Is there a way we can get Dreamweaver to accept the new characters os is this something beyond its capabilities?
  3. Ciao Phenix welcome to the forum. I am also a newbie here and it seems like a friendly place. My wife is Italian, from bologna. We've just got back from spending a month at Cesna near Rimini
  4. We've just recieved the Russian translation for our site. But it doesn't recognise the text, all we are getting is a lot of ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? Is there a way to solve this problem? If we did it in Photoshop and pasted the text on our site then the search engines will have difficulty finding us. We will be adding an Indian translation also to the site. but at the moment it's the Russians and Chinese that are our main customers.
  5. Hi my wife is looking for someone to teach her basic CSS in the Kent/S.E. London area. Does anybody offer private tuition? Thanks John
  6. We are having our site translated into Russian and Chinese, which obviously means that the text will be different to western letters! Has anybody else tried this? I'm a little concerned about incorporating the text onto the pages. We are having the site translated and should recieve the new text back next week. How do i intergrate the new text into my site without having to cut and paste everything? Is there anything else we should consider when translating our site? i.e. should we incorporate keywords (in chinese and Russian) Into the meta tags? Sorry if these questions seem obvious but we are complete beginners and sometimes the obvious can be daunting! Thanks for any help John
  7. Just like to say Hi from sunny Kent I'm a complete novice at web design. My partner has some basic skills and built a website for our business www.artenchant.com We are looking to make some additions to it and try to make it more inviting for customers so i'm going to have a little mosey around this forum and try to get some ideas to improve it. I'm afraid because of my limited knowledge i won't be able to participate much in discussions. So i'll probably be a bit of a lurker until i have something worthwhile saying Cheers John
