im trying to target my local city with my keywords, according to google's (adwords) its not a competative keyword yet google still seems to miss my site i seem to rank a little higher if i search for more broad range keywords that half relate to my site, but the problem is most people will bounce off my site if they have used these broader keywords as i am a more specialized business than the broader aspect

i dont think i will ever understand SEO. Ive had my site for 5 years and my home page is still nowhere to be seen for my main keywords, yet some of my other pages do feature on google around page 10 to 15 (yeah not great) Ive tried to work within google webmaster guidelines, write plenty of content, build a few back links, link all my social networks, yet still home page is nowhere on google. It does feature high on the likes of Yahoo and Bing I think SEO is a matter of luck and persistence. but im willing to take any help offered
