Im working on the content to get across my personality together my social media knowledge. The challenge is to have a good balance of relevant text, personality,images. This forum is great. Hi NoClass. Thanks for your advice. I agree that I should have the content groundwork done before meeting with a web designer. I want my own personality and vision to come across so having the groundwork done will help the person I hire. Hi Teodora, thanks for your advice ref explaining why prospective clients need social media. I have written a blog post on this which has been published by an American social media website. I also have looked at 5 sm websites so far and have a good idea of what works as a visitor and what doesn't Hi Gadgetgirl. I hadn't thought of considering how visitors will access site. Note to self. Hi there, Thanks for your replies. As I said I am totally new to this so your insights are extremely helpful. Yes, I will be getting a professional to do the job of course but i want to have my own input into the content, text and graphics. I want to know what works and what doesnt. My audience will be business owners, small to medium size, who are concentrating on their own area of expertise and who would like someone to come in and set up and manage their social media platforms, create content, blog for them...those looking to outsource this part of their business, while they concentrate on what they do best. It could be a law firm, it could be a cake company , it could be furniture shop. I hope that makes it clearer
