Ok thanks for the comments. I suppose a cursory email for people looking for business development opportunities would have taken...20 seconds.. to which they have found out I am at least paying minimum wage which is a legal requirement in the UK. Further my preference was local, however to the extent that I am looking overseas should have at least prompted some with more than a few brain cells to put something together to show what could be done remotely and the lack of need to actually meet.
Secondly on India don't think that quality of work in India is any worse than here. You get incompetent people all over the world and given the demise of our IT industry and the churning out of poorly skilled graduates in the UK (+ lazy people who just don’t want to work) I suspect the average graduate is more highly skilled over there than here.
These few posts have surely demonstrated why there is such high unemployment amongst the younger generation here and the subsequent demise of the UK innovation and industry. Yet I see people on this board complaining of not enough work.
I think a lot of you need to understand that you are now in a global market place, particularly if you work in IT, and that you are not up to scratch you will find your income streams diminishing rapidly.
