I require very affordable monthly hoisting - Possibility for huge amount of traffic!
I am trying to find a decently priced hosting service that can handle a relatively decent amount of traffic without slowing down completely! I understand that I will have certain limitations within the hosting plan but I am looking for something with virtually unlimited bandwidth I say virtually as I know for a fact that almost all of these hosting plans out there have a limit but they advertise as Unlimited as they do not expect you to hit that limit that they have put in place. At least 3gb-5gb web space (the more the better) Unlimited or extremely high bandwidth A Cpanel at least 99% up time 24/7 support Database features E-Mail features I will be using Wordpress on this hosting service and storing downloadable zip files as well as hosting a couple of videos on the site but for the most part the videos will be embedded from YouTube, I want to find the most efficient and cost effective web hosting service out there, so any suggestions are very welcome and I cannot afford a VPS or dedicated server at this stage so please do not try and sell that to me, I am looking for a hosting service that provides at least the above or more. I hope that you can help me out by sharing a trusted company with me or even a private web hosting company. As long as they are trustworthy. I will have little traffic at first of course but eventually I hope to have the traffic highly increase for this website so the hosting service must be able to handle some strain from traffic and I'm mentioning this because I have used shared hosting from a couple of companies a few years back and when I had around 100-1000 users active a time the site ran super slow and often gave error pages, I have used other shared hosting and not had this much of a problem with that many users so I know its possible and I hope to find a great hosting service. Half of the traffic will probably stick to using the YouTube channel for the most part though, at least at the start of the site but that is ok. I appreciate any help and than you in advance! Kind Regards The Piixel Monster

I need suggestions; I'm starting a tutorial site for Pixel Art
Hi, I'm pretty new here but my little project is why I am here so I want to cut to the chase. I have been doing pixel art for some time now, at least I stopped for a while to progress into the world of 3D but now I am back to working with Pixel Art due to a computer malfunction, I can no longer handle the 3D work but I am working with a lower end machine that can handle working with smaller 2D images. This brings me to my project... I want to start a Pixel Art tutorial site, totally dedicated to providing pixel art tutorials for the hobbyists or curious indie developers. This will probably help those ambitious and dedicated programmers get more viable artwork created for their projects and help the indie community even if it's just a little I would love to see how well this site will do. I have been trying to minimize the cost of the site so that I can keep the site going for as long as possible and actually afford to start it up, I am not the most fortunate person right now but I would love to get something done and this seems to be the most likely cause for me to get started on in my situation, I don't want to create this site to earn money to live off of, all that I really hope to achieve out of creating this site is to have provided a helping hand for those that are wanting to create their own pixel art whether it be for fun or to play around with in the game development field. With that being said I would LOVE if the site could at some point maintain itself at least financially, as I do not mind providing the unique content whenever possible. Right now I have more time than anything so this is another reason for me wanting to get it done. Where as after the next three to four months I may not have much time at all but at least the site will have enough of a foundation to live on through until I can find the time to create more content. Anyway... Now you know a little more about my project, I hope to get a little help and I need some suggestions on how I may go about creating this site. I am by no means a web developer. I can design websites within Photoshop. I have had a hard time following along with most of these text based tutorials so I know very little about how to take my design through to the finished stage and I tend to learn best from seeing, like watching a video tutorial. Well I know there are some out there but I can't really tell which ones are realy worth going over and which ones are not until I have attempted to go through them. This is where I hope that you can step in and provide a little information and possibly some direction. The site will for all intensive purposes be a fairly simple tutorial site, so I was thinking to create it from a html/css tutorial, but after a little research perhaps it is better to attempt to get a wordpress theme created? I like the idea of expanding the site via certain wordpress plugins at a later date, like having membership type things setup so that I can restrict certain pages from normal registered members so that I can have others setup accounts as tutors or something to this effect. For the most part this site will be free if I ever charge it will be a low price just to help keep the site a float but chances are I will implement a plan such as you pay a membership fee for the source files but all the tutorials are 100% free, outside of that I plan to just keep it free and hope that some donations roll in every now and then to help with the costs of running the site. Also a few ads will help for that too. I would like to hear what all of you think and would greatly appreciate any help I can get in this little project. I have a small amount of funding for this project right now but when I have more money I have no problem in throwing it towards this site. I have had this idea for soem time now but I never actually had the time to see it through. Well I do now but I have much less money at my disposal so the timing kind of sucks but I'm willing to apply effort where it counts and attempt to try and learn the skills required to see this through! Thanks in advance and I hope that someone can help out...

My Introduction...
I have yet to read through the whole of the official documentation, I am first looking to finish coding my site (or trying to at least) but I was looking into using Google Adsense as I know practically nothing about it so far, I hear a lot of people are having their accounts banned for no apparent reason a lot though. I'm sure there are also a few tips on how best to place the ads or ways to get specific ads show up on your site so that viewers are more likely to click them? As you can tell I am a complete newbie to the world of Google Adsense, I just want to make sure I have it all setup the best I can once my site is functioning and online, so that I can HOPEFULLY generate enough money to pay the monthly hosting at least after three or so months. I know that it heavily relies on getting people to my site and the content on the site but I believe, as most people do, that I can achieve that! Thank you for the reply, I really appreciate it. Kind Regards The Piixel Monster I also really appreciate your response Paul... Thank you for taking the time to reply, I hear what you have said from a lot of people but to be honest this web project isn't a business based site, I will be posting content in the form of a blog, articles, screencasts and the like, to help others with things... Specifically pixel art for Indie games. So ads shouldn't do too much harm here as I aim to keep all of the content 100% free. Of course I will accept donations to help the site in every way possible, I was just hoping that perhaps after some time the site could support itself. Sadly I understand now that it could take a long time before that might be possible. However this will not stop me from attempting this project as I am sure many people will like the idea and I am actually hoping that later down the line a few people here and there may eventually donate a pound here or a dollar there which could help with the hosting costs. I do need to find a host with unlimited bandwidth included in a package though as I will be streaming videos, I may just use YouTube to host my videos and embed them to the site though. It may be much easier that way. Kind Regards The Piixel Monster Well hello and welcome too

My Introduction...
Hello everyone, I'm new here. I don't know if this is the perfect forum for web designers and developers but it looks pretty and seems active so I want to give it a shot. As I'm seeking a little information and possible help. I've been doing some freelance web design work lately, a lot of which I haven't initially intended to do, anyway... I have the skills to design the visuals of sites, but not implement or develop them and that is partially why I'm here. I need to find a lot more out about Google Adsense and making revenue off of ads without taking away from the user experience too. I would love for my site to be able to support itself. My goal isn't to become rich off of the site I am intending to create but I would like to be able to not worry about the hosting costs and such every month as freelancing isn't going as smoothly for my initial skill set... Which is actually in the world of 3D. Due to this I am working on a personal project right after I get this site out of the way in hopes that I can create a job opening for myself. As finding work seems to be extremely hard for me right now. (outside of freelancing) In any case... I plan to sponge up as much knowledge and help as I can, I intend on helping out everywhere I can as well, mostly this would be with design aspects and Photoshop related things. I just hope that I can help out in some way to help give back to the community. Well that's my introduction, I hope it's not too forward and with all that said, I'm going to go off browsing the forums!! Kind Rehards The Piixel Monster
