Facebook & Twitter
Well in the wonderful way they keep doing it the latest facebook redesign has made it absolutely impossible to find the RSS feed! - the only thing I can suggest now is to link facebook to twitter via one of the available apps, and use the RSS twitter feed, a bit long winded by the only 'frig' I can think of right now. Perhaps create a 'dupilicate'/dummy twitter account just to pass the FB updates through ?, so as to distinguish your normal twitter updates and those 'facebook' ones ?

Facebook & Twitter
A simple way would be to pass the appropriate site RSS feed through a parser (such as SimplePie or Magpie) and use this to display the info on your chosen site via a PHP output.

Image Gallery Suggestions
Have been asked to add an image gallery to one of my existing websites.. anyone got any suggestions/favourites? I've used Plogger on a previous website, which has quite easy integration, but just wondered if anyone else could think of something 'better' Key Objectives is that the client can upload his own photos, and compile albums etc, should be pretty easy to understand how to upload for the client etc, preferably through a web browser rather than FTP client or the like.. Cheers for any suggestions..

.co.uk or .com ?
UK.. It's a local business trading in the Bristol area, so I guess .co.uk would be more applicable?

.co.uk or .com ?
My client has bought both .co.uk and .com domain names. I am just about to set up web-hosting for him and am wondering if there is any known preference for which TLD should have the space attached to it? Does the site stand a better chance with SEO if it has a .com extension, or does it not matter ? Thanks.

Easily
Hi, I have a potential client that has bought domain names with easily (http://easily.co.uk/), Does anyone have any domains with them or experience of what they offer on the domain name package? I am looking to host their website with my usual webhosting provider (as this would work out much more cost effective for my client), so just need to check that they offer DNS/Nameserver redirection ? Any ideas? Thanks for any help. Ian.

Launching Javascript from within Javascript
Coming to the end of a long day and my brain is getting addled I'm wondering if it's possible to launch a Shadowbox script from within an infowindow on Google Maps ? I've tried quickly experimenting at my test page, but I can't get it to work. The text link below the map will load the page correctly, but clicking the link from within the info-bubble, just causes the link to load in the traditional way (i.e. new browser page) The way shadowbox works is you add a rel="shadowbox" declaration to your normal html, which in the google map case is contained within the map javascript file (map.js) Am I doing something stupid, or just impossible ?

Incorporating Twitter
As the other guys have said, it's pretty easy to intergrate Twitter into your website, if you don't want to use widgets/flash etc .. On the right of your twitter page you should have the RSS link "RSS feed of xxx's updates" .. Pipe this link through an RSS feed aggregator (such as SimplePie etc), and you can then display your updates in text format to fit the look, style and feel of the rest of your site...

Lightbox Auto Gallery
Found it now .... Its availble at http://www.synapsesinc.com/lightbox/ A nice script that will allow you to automatically generate a gallery from a defined folder, and display those images using the lightbox script.

Lightbox Auto Gallery
I may be being a bit thick here (almost probably!) .... I'm sure I've seen a PHP/Javascript gizmo out there that combines the 'Lightbox' javascript utility with the auto generating PHP Gallery - where you upload pics into a folder which generates a gallery, but displays them with the lightbox effect ? ... Can I find it now ?!? no !! Anyone help ?

Add a Flickr group gallery
Hi, I've searched for something on various search engines , but can't seem to find anything apart from add-ons to CMS apps etc.. I'd like to add a gallery to my website of pictures from a Flickr group, not really looking for flash slideshows etc, just a script etc that would pull the latest pictures from the group and display the thumbs on my site .. any suggestions ?

Website Hosting
Your client will need to either ; Give you access to his control panel - so you can set up & access FTP to upload all your relevant files or Send you the FTP details - so you can upload your relevant files.. When you refer to links, as long as they are set up correctly in your coding (ie they dont refer to , for example, "C:/My Documents.. ") then they should work fine..
